Why does KTR Indoor Action Sports exist?

We believe that kids deserve every opportunity to explore sport, find their passion and learn how to take their abilities to the max. 

We are a group of dads, elite coaches, business owners and entrepreneurs with over 100 years of experience and we decided to create a new movement for those kids who we feel deserve better.

The action sports we offered used to only be available to the elite competitors and families that could afford it. We decided to change all that, and our aim is to offer that opportunity to everyone who has the desire to learn and play. Offering them true freedom through sport and having a ton of fun along the way.

How we do it

 

We have a one-of-a-kind action sports park designed to promote progression, safety and allows kids to test their limits, offering them the freedom to explore. We offer an indoor skate park, a parkour obstacle course, tumbling floors, sport courts, trampolines and new features including our new trapeze system and zip line course.

Operations Manager

Job Summary

 

Directs and oversees all functions of the KTR Sports Indoor Sports Playground including: developing and implementing policy; maintaining a safe and functional operating environment; monitoring daily operations; preparing and managing the budget, fund expenditures, marketing strategies, invoices, supplies, and vendor requirements; maintaining the facility; and retaining overall responsibility for facility and staff. Ultimately, the goals of the position will be tied to Guest Safety / Satisfaction, Team Leadership, Operational Efficiency, Business Development / Marketing and Profit / Financial control. The GM will need entrepreneurial spirit as he or she helps to develop the culture and lay the groundwork for a successful Grand Opening.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional guest service

  • Ensure guest satisfaction and safety

  • Actively hire and lead a team to achieve all revenue, retention, and quality goals

  • Manage daily tasks and process to optimize operational efficiency

  • Develop and achieve marketing goals to spread awareness of KTR 

  • Generate new business through effective business development and community relations

  • Open and close facility, Manager on Duty shifts

Guest Service / Satisfaction / Safety:

  • Cultivate culture and vision of the KTR Brand

  • Build and maintain culture that embraces and ensures guest safety and satisfaction

  • Handle customer (internal and external) service issues with discretion, tact and professionalism

  • Enforce waiver policy

Team Leadership:

  • Be the Community Ambassador for KTR

  • Oversee employee hiring, training, HR documentation, and evaluations

  • Set Team goals and give team the tools to achieve

  • Scheduling and evaluations for Management Team

  • Schedule regular manager meetings to review opportunities and get feedback

  • Provide staff with a welcoming and mutually supportive work environment

  • Ensure all staff know all products, procedures, and services to date, continually train staff

  • Responsible for communicating all policies and procedures

  • Recruit qualified applicants to ensure optimum staffing with safety and guest experience being the ultimate goal

Operational Efficiency:

  • Monitor and participate in the opening and closing of facility

  • Maintain KTR policies and procedures in all aspects of the facility

  • Ensure the facility is clean, open and inviting to all.

  • Regularly update all facility signage, registration forms, and flyers

  • Process payroll

  • Participate, monitor, approve of inventory supplies and equipment

Business Development / Marketing:

  • Set marketing and sales goals and manage advertising budget

  • Work closely with local media outlets and marketing representatives

  • Develop, coordinate and track all sales and marketing strategies

  • Drive group sales and corporate events

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key influencers (schools, churches, healthcare organizations, corporations, non-profits, community groups etc.)

  • Maintain customer and email databases

  • Maintain digital media

  • Identify, research and develop new revenue streams / ways to engage / be relevant in our community

Profit / Financial Control:

  • Responsible to maximize revenues while keeping a close eye on all expenses to ensure or exceed budgeted EBITA

  • Reconcile daily receipts and all financial accounts

  • Monitor daily receipts, receivables, vendor payments

  • Review closing reports to ensure coupons and refund receipts are included with each closing report

  • Maintain budget

Qualifications:

  • Minimum education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

  • Ability to work nights/weekends

  • 5 years minimum of personnel management (preferably in a recreational facility setting)

  • 5 years minimum of business budget experience

  • Risk management experience

  • Demonstrated leadership in a customer centric environment

  • Must LOVE engaging with the community (that means kids, teens, young to older adults)

  • First Aid and CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Above all this position requires a fun meets fitness spirit that is a dedicated team player as well.

Site Manager

Job Summary: As the Site Manager at KTR, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility, as well as work a majority of the manager-on-duty shifts. You must be a leader who is passionate about providing exceptional guest service. The Site Manager will hire, train, schedule, and oversee all non-event staff members under the direction of the Operations Manager. Above all, we are seeking candidates who are flexible, friendly, hardworking and also enjoy interacting with both children and adults. Your past experience should demonstrate your organizational skills, drive and initiative.

 

This full time position has future internal growth potential.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Opening and closing the facility as the primary Manager on Duty

  • Maintaining KTR policies and procedures in all aspects of the business

  • Ordering and managing inventory, suggest new products and cost saving ideas

  • Developing a system for; ordering, maintaining proper stock levels, inventory tracking, merchandise, beverages and food

  • Hiring, training, and scheduling and supervising of sport staff, cashiers, concessions, and safety assurance staff

  • Working with the Management Team to promote and execute special events

  • Performing the functions of team members when necessary

  • Managing and developing all staff training and scheduling

  • Ensuring the safety, cleanliness and overall appearance of our facility

  • Enforcing and ensure ALL safety roles and waiver policy and procedures

  • Ensuring all facility inspections are completed and submitted as required

  • Assisting with general facility, sport zone maintenance and repair.

  • As the eyes and ears of the facility, addressing and anticipating all needs and situations.

  • Discuss solutions with owner and General Manager

  • Direct responsibility to ensure every guest and associate wears a smile

  • Other management duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Experience: Two years of management experience in a related field

  • Previous management experience with young, part time staff

  • Outgoing, energetic and friendly personality

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Organizational, follow-up, and multitasking skills are a must

  • Eagerness to grow in the organization

  • Experience with employee scheduling and cash handling

  • Previous experience with children’s birthday parties

  • First Aid and CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)

Retail Supervisor

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Maximizes sales results in the area of sales, merchandising and operations.

  • Responsible for overall store performance in areas of people development, sales, payroll and inventory.

  • PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT: Build a promotable team by utilizing KTR tools and programs to hire, train and evaluate your people.

  • SALES: Maintain personal sales results while running the sales floor and training your team to perform their sales responsibilities.

  • PAYROLL: Write schedules based on allotted hours that maximize sales results based on team and individual strengths.

  • INVENTORY: Minimize loss through team motivation, customer service and managing operations.

  • Other duties and projects will be assigned based on company and store needs.
